| Aussie songwriter records at Clap of Thunder
Singer-songwriter Andrew Swift hails from Melbourne, Australia, home to four million and a thriving music scene.
But to record his debut album, he traveled to El Paso, home of Clap of Thunder, the Texas Avenue recording studio run by Jim Ward and Gabe Gonzalez, both of Sleepercar fame.
“Melbourne and Sydney, there’s plenty of opportunities there, but it’s (about) the adventure as well, and the experience to come over to El Paso and do a CD,” Swift says.

Great bands, both local and touring, do their thing to mouth-frothing crowds while the outside world indifferently rotates on its boring-ass axis and indulges in other forms of entertainment – mostly YouTube.
