Best Place to get a Pet
El Paso Humane Society
Water? Heck, no! In El Chuco, it rains cats and dogs! Over 100,000 stray animals roam EP and the surrounding areas, threatening to assemble in Hitchcock-esque conspiracy. Luckily, the El Paso Humane Society convinces 7,000 cats, dogs and rabbits to coexist peacefully in caring human homes every year. Claiming the alpha spot for zoological non-profits for the second year in a row, the Society provides adoption and feral spaying programs, cremation and euthanasia, and humane education and pet first aid classes -where you learn to resuscitate your dog, not vice versa. If you're allergic and/or heartless, you can still save these defenseless critters by donating money, supplies or volunteering. 4991 Fred Wilson, 915-532-6971.
